Vaughan Dance Teachers with a Team Approach

As a student of our adult dance classes, you will have a team of Vaughan dance teachers who are responsible for your progress and keeping you on track. We realize that every student has a unique blend of experiences and backgrounds along with their own style of learning. Over the years, we have learned that by working with a variety of Vaughan dance teachers, you will learn at a faster and more efficient pace because you are able to get different points of view and hear things explained in different ways.

If you are taking our Vaughan Salsa classes as a couple, for example, it is very important that you each have the perspectives of both a male and female dance teacher on what you are learning.

If you are single, and enrolled in our Vaughan Samba lessons, for example, it is important that you learn to lead or follow a variety of partners so you can become an adaptable and comfortable social dancer.

Meet Our Team

Adam

Adam is a dance specialist and instructor who has been dancing since childhood. He is a graduate of the Seneca Arts program and is a certified member of WPDTA and CDF. Through the years, he’s had the honor to study and train under such coaches as Jonathan Roberts from “Dancing With The Stars” and Dance Doctor Lola Valair.

While Adam first started out with Pop & Lock and Break Dancing, he has since discovered a passion for ballroom and Latin. He has been with Arthur Murray for about two years and chose the studio because he “wanted to be a part of a sophisticated dance community.”

Transitioning from student to teacher has been a rewarding experience for Adam. He is most interested in building emotional and personal connections through dance with his students.

Ashley

Ashley is a natural born dance instructor. She began dancing at the age of 3 and hasn’t looked back. Her areas of expertise include ballet, jazz, tap and hip hop, among others. Even as a small child, she says, she wanted to teach dance.

Ashley first began training professionally with Danceworks at the age of 16. Through the years, she has trained with such instructors as Jonathan Roberts from “Dancing with the Starts,” and former Nine Dance Champion Lynda Price Smith. She holds accreditation from WPDTA and CDF.

As an Arthur Murray instructor, Ashley sees her role as passing along her passion for dance. She takes the time to make every lesson fun and easy for her students and breaks down all the steps so anyone can learn and build technique. Her biggest reward, she says, is “being part of the student’s growth as a dancer and seeing the sense of accomplishment through each student’s smile.”
